Shade Communication: Photos That Actually Help

Shade mismatches are the single largest source of anterior remakes in our data. Most of them trace back to the photographs we receive, not the shade tab itself.

Three habits that make the difference

1. Keep the tab in plane

Shoot with the tab in the same plane as the tooth, not in front of or behind it.

2. Overlap the adjacent tooth

Include one image with the tab covering half the adjacent tooth.

3. Send the file unedited

Phone auto-enhancement shifts hue enough to matter.
